Global Management Conference (Continued)

Sponsored by Cisco Systems, Computer Associates, Oracle, VERITAS and WBEM Solutions (Platinum); and 3Com, The Open Group and Symantec (Gold), the 2003 Global Management Conference offers cutting-edge content not found anywhere else:

  • Get first-hand accounts of the issues IT users are facing, and how they solve their distributed management challenges
  • Find out what leading standards organizations - like OASIS, SNIA, The Open Group, the TeleManagement Forum and others - are doing, and how these standards work together to simplify enterprise and service management
  • Learn about standards in practice - whatever your level - at in-depth "how-to" sessions, including beginner, intermediate and advanced tracks
With four full days of the conference, each day features a different theme and delivers cutting-edge content in the prime areas of interest for distributed management professionals. The conference opens Monday with unique Orientation-style sessions, with topics ranging from "Global Management: The World Today" to "Understanding the Language of Management Standards."

Developer-oriented content is addressed on Tuesday. Beginning with a keynote panel from members of the Network Applications Consortium (NAC) - providing the unique perspective of IT implementers on the standards needs of users - the day continues with detailed technical sessions at all levels of expertise.

At Wednesday's opening keynote, Fred van den Bosch of VERITAS will discuss the management dilemmas facing the industry. This address is followed by another unique keynote panel, where leaders from the top distributed management standards bodies take the stage in a ground-breaking session to discuss how each group's standards relate. Wednesday continues with in-depth breakout sessions featuring the various standards organizations, providing an unprecedented one-stop learning opportunity for distributed management professionals.

After opening with the exciting keynote presentation on Autonomic Computing from Alan Ganek of IBM, Thursday's schedule features integrator and implementation content in three tracks: Infrastructure, Tools and Models.
