Alliance Partner Feature: TeleManagement Forum (TM Forum)The TeleManagement Forum (TM Forum) and DMTF have been collaborating since 2003 to address harmonization issues primarily between the Common Information Model (CIM) and Shared/Information Data (SID) model. The overall goal of the alliance partnership is to align management architectures in order to simplify management of next generation networks and services. Customers and vendors of both DMTF and TM Forum benefit from the collaboration by having a single consistent model from technology through business perspectives. TM Forum provides leadership, strategic guidance and practical solutions to improve the management and operation of information and communications services. Its open membership of more than 600 companies comprises incumbent and new-entrant service providers, computing and network equipment suppliers, software solution suppliers and customers of communications services. TM Forum has been contributing to the Information and Communications Services (ICS) Industry for more than 15 years. TM Forum's Management World 2010 will take place from May 16-20, 2010 in Nice, France. This upcoming TM Forum event is the world's largest communications conference, bringing together leaders from the information, communications and entertainment industries.
